hi I was scheduled for a surgery to remove cells around core biopsy site that came back abnormal when my dr asked for a diagnostic MRI on the opposite breast they found a non mass 7mm I am now scheduled for an MRI guided biopsy there.

My question is the report says lymph node is seen.

What does that mean? Does that mean it has or may have spread to the lymph nodes or is it normal to see a lymph node on an MRI??

Thank uou

    Jenncarb1980,

My guess would be that they see a swollen node but it could be absolutely nothing. Nodes are swollen for all sorts of reasons. The key is to wait for the surgery and core biopsy results to have definitive information. Abnormal cells are not cancer so that is great news! On the other side, it could also be absolutely nothing. Remember the odds are on your side. If it turns out to be something, come on back and let us know. In the meantime, my advice is just be good to yourself during the tough waiting period.
