46 year old with painful lump on left breast

I would like to thank everyone reading this post beforehand. I really need anyone's input in this matter, since I am growing extremely concern.

I am a 46 year old male that a couple of months ago, I detected a lump on my left breast ( bellow the nipple). I went to my primary physician and she did some lab work on my testosterone levels and to check for recurring testicular cancer. Eighteen years ago, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer (embryonal carcinoma) and underwent an orchiectomy and a lymphadenectomy. After the orchiectomy, I began to have a hormonal imbalance and began to experience gynecomastia. My primary physician at that time informed me that eventually, my testosterone levels would become normal, and the gynecomastia would subside. Fast forward to a month ago, when I visited my primary physician, and informed her that I might be experiencing a recurrence of gynecomastia. That's when she referred me to get a CTScan and lab work to rule out recurrent testicular cancer. I also asked for a mammogram and I am scheduled to have one on the 17th of this month. I have noticed that the pain sometimes increases and the pain feels like a burning pain. Also, I have noticed that my breast has enlarged or feels more full to the touch, as if it has more fatty tissue.

Please, I need anyone's input on this matter, as I am extremely concern on how my breast is changing and feeling to date, as compared to months ago

Concern72 sorry you are experiencing these issues. And you are certainly taking the right steps. Good for you for requesting the mammogram the doctor failed to order. There are benign conditions that can cause discomfort in the breast. Hoping that is the case for you. Please let us know how things turn out. And keep pushing for answers that are needed. I think all of us here find that we have to speak up to get the health care we require. I wish you all the best and hope that your scans are clear.
