Hi all! I'm hoping you are all doing well. I just turned 30 and have been having nipple discharge in my left breast only for about a year, although it's gotten more frequent (and in December leaked so much it went through my bra and two shirts!).

I made an appointment to get an ultrasound and mammogram tomorrow, and over the last few weeks/months, my left breast has had shooting pains on the outside and over to my armpit and then up to my collarbone. I also think I feel a small lump where the pain is on the left outside, but I never really know what I'm looking for. I just know the same lump is not in the same spot on the right side.

Has anyone else experienced symptoms similar to these?

Note - I've never been pregnant and haven't had a period in 2 years because I have the Mirena IUD so it's not breastfeeding or menstrual related. I should also say that every female member on my mom’s side has had and/or died from a female cancer (ie braast, uterine, etc)

I had nipple discharge on and off since 2000. I did have a microadema on my pituitary gland and was put on medicine. Doctors thought this was the cause of the discharge since my prolactin level wasnormal. I did experience pain on and off but this was hormone related. Good luck with your mammogram and ultrasound.
