Confused about ultrasound/mammogram

Last year I had a 5 x 8 mm mass and a smaller sister mass diagnosed with mammogram/ultrasound. The dr said it looked to be benign. I have had a history of cysts before. This year at a different hospital ( I took my last films and report). The radiologist said it appeared the same but report stated it is 1.5 cm in diameter. How can he say it is the same but bigger.

I have had cyst and this feels harder and different and it hurts under my arm. I have asked for biopsy/ draining. I meet with surgeon tomorrow and I’m scared. I have just felt off for several months and this lump dame up quicker than any before. It just feels so

They knew right away from ultrasound before the biopsy on mine. I hope you get good news.

I have a history of cysts, and they can grow quickly. The ultrasound can tell if it's a cyst or solid. If it's cyst, and it's bothering you, they can just drain it. They typically don't send anything for biopsy, as it's just fluid and cysts are benign. I've had many drained, it's very easy and painless.
