Slight Redness of breast
For a few months, I have had a slight redness on one of my breast and and what sometimes appear to be pimples. I am concerned because I have nipple discharge, caused by stimulation only that is clear. The amount ranges from a little to none to more sometimes. A year ago my blood was tested and I was found to have results for hypothyroidism and slightly elevated prolactin. I paid $200 out of pocket and spoke to an OBGYN who believed it was caused by hormones and to see a primary care. We ended up moving, so I saw a primary care who pulled blood, and was told prolactin and thyroid levels were normal. They never did retest for further results. I'm making an appointment with a different primary care physician to talk to her about this and my PCOS. Should I be concerned this could be a sign of IBC? This is my slightly larger breast, and I did break out into what I thought was hear rash this summer that cleared up from my bra. Dont mind the larger red spot, I squeezed what appeared to be a pimple and left a mark.

IBC progresses very rapidly, within hours or days, and does not get better. If this hasn't changed much over a few months, it doesn't sound like IBC. That said, it's good that you're seeing a doc and asking about the rash and discharge. All breast changes should be checked out. Good luck with the new doc

Thank you for the reassurance. My husband says it looks more like "hue" to my skin on this breast and it only affects a small area on the top. I often get small bumps there that look like pimples. I am beginning to wonder if I am allergic to something or if my bra keeps rubbing there and that is why the slight redness stays. I believe the discharge may be due to hormone fluctuation due to my PCOS, as it seems to be more right before I have a period and seems to tapers off to nothing at times. There is no change in my breasts outside of this, and while I do get breast pains they occur in both breasts, so I believe this is caused by hormones as well. On average, there is no pain or tenderness (unless I poke too much) and just a slight red hue with pimples (?) that do go away The discharge only comes out when I squeeze, which they told me not to do as it can make it worse. I had offered to pay for an ultra sound, but the OBYN last December did not feel like it was necessary. Everything pointed towards the thyroid being the culprit, but when I was retested in April levels were normal. It is puzzling and the doctor did not seem concerned, which is why I am changing doctors.
