Implant creating issues starting radiation

I had a double mastectomy with reconstruction at the same time. So I have an implant that are over the muscle. which my radiation oncologist knew before hand and said they’re wouldn’t be an issue with it. I went there to get a scan to start the process of radiation and he has now told me I need to have fluid taken out of my implant to make it smaller in order to start radiation as it is interfering with where they radiation beams will be. Still waiting to hear back from my plastic surgeon about what needs to be done. Has anyone ever heard of this or experienced this

do you have expanders or an implant? I also had an implant on the radiation side, but my other side was flat (prophylactic Mx) and I waited until after radiation to fill. I do think that the beams can be affected by larger implants/breasts, but how would they take the fluid out?
