Ultrasound in 1 or both breasts?

Hi there-

I'm 27yrs old. About two months ago I started having lightning bolt pain in my left breast. It didn't shoot anywhere except directly in my breast. My doctor and I chopped it down to a muscular pain and I began some self taught PT.

The pain continued although less sporadically. I decided to do a self breast exam, which I do often. I noticed a hard lump on my right breast, lower inner quadrant. My right boob also droops. They've always been perky and at the same level... I guess I'm getting older?

My appt with my OBGYN went way too fast, there was no explaining on the ultrasound. I'm unclear if just my right breast with the lump will be imaged? Or do they always do both for a side-by-side?

I've never had any breast issues and I realize I'm young. But I guess since both of these issues popped up on the last few months, I'd feel better if both were looked imaged. So didn't know what was "textbook." If not, can I ask while I'm there for the other one to be imaged?
