    Coolrunnings,

Have you talked to your primary care doctor about your concerns?

Sorry you are having to deal with insurance problems. It's tough having very limited income but not qualifying for Medicaid coverage. Perhaps there is a community hospital in your area, and you can discuss your situation with their business office ?

I hope you can get medical input and some reassuring news soon. Keep us posted. Take care.

You are dealing with physical, emotional, and financial stresses. So much to worry about, and sometimes our concerns bleed into our dreams. Try to let bad dreams run their natural course of vanishing from memory. You need a good night's sleep every night to help restore your immune system, and progressive muscle relaxation can be quite helpful to fall asleep and stay asleep.

You do need a thorough medical exam asap, and if no other solution exist currently, consider paying over time? Perhaps your church contacts could help you find a job with health insurance?

I hope you don't feel shy about asking for help, yours is a legitimate need, and that fever among other things, needs immediate attention. It helps if you can chart your temperature fluctuations and anything that seems associated with the ups and downs.Reporting a detailed history could possibly help reduce the amount of testing needed.

I sure hope it's not BC, let alone MBC. It's great that your mammogram was negative, and may that news be followed by more reassuring news and by you actually feeling better. Anyhow you need looking after, and you need stress reduction. One of my favorite quick stress reducers is taking 1-2 slow deep breaths.

    Take care.

Are any hospitals in your area teaching hospitals? They usually have clinics on a sliding payment scale (based on income), and offer excellent care.

In my area in Ohio, Susan G. Komen offers free mammograms and help to women with symptoms of BC.

I know many women who have received help, and one that did have BC and was able to get a grant for her medical bills.

    Good luck.
