Waiting for biopsy results

Hi. I felt a small lump about 2 weeks ago and got a mammogram today.Did a diagnostic then the radiologist came in and said she hoped it was just a cyst. Well she got started and said " it's not a cyst. Definitely a mass". My last mammogram was about 16 months ago and it was clear. It was the same radiologist today. She came back in the room and said they had 2 cancellations and if I wait 1 hour I could have ultrasound guided biopsy otherwise it might have to be after the holidays...so I said go for it.

It all happened so fast I feel like I must have missed something. I barely asked any questions.... all she said was I had to wait for the results. She did ultrasound my whole armpit and said she didn't see anything concerning with those lymph nodes. She took 3 samples and said 1 was going to be tested like a lymph node and the other 2 like a regular cancer test...or something along those lines. Anybody know what that's about?

...I wont have results for 2-3 days and the wait already SUCKS. Is this a common wait time?

I'm glad they were able to fit you in so quickly. Sometimes things always work out for the best. I know that it seems things are moving fast but at least you will know something before Christmas. Its always easier said than done but try to just breathe through this because things will fall into place. Praying for B9 results. Hugs
