Hi DJmammo.. you are awesome...may GOD bless you immensely for caring and helping.
By the way this is after Diagnostic mammo and U/S
Finding:The left breast tissue is heterogeneously dense Which lowers the sensitivity of mammography. The additional imaging demonstrate persistent of a approximate an 8 cm oval shaped mass In the left upper outer middle Posterior depht breast with intersperse fat Noted. This will be forward evaluated with sonography.
Left beeat ultrasound finding:
Limited sonographic evaluation of the left 12-3:00 breast was performed, there is a mild heterogeneity noted In the left At 2:00 corrisponding to the area of palpable concern as indicated The patient, however No definite sonographic correlate To the persistent 8cm oval shaped mass In the upper outer breast is noted On the submitted sonographic images

Floflo123....so sorry you are going through this. Just want to add that I would ask for a MRI if you haven't had one yet. Its the best screening tool for dense breasts. Good luck and keep us posted.

They cancel my appointment because I was having hard time getting all the imaging of mammography and diagnostic mammo.....going to a different clinic so they need to compare finally got everything appointment on Tuesday....tx
-
They cancel my other appoiment that I had today.....it's becoming a joke..... I feel like leaving everything the way it is.....and forget it about it............today they didn't realize that the U/S needed to be done with a radiologist ....so there was no radiologist present...tomorrow at 9:00
-
Floflo123, that sucks! I'm so sorry. That extra aggravation and feeling jerked around is the last thing any of us needs. I hope that you can get the diagnostics you need competently and soon.

Thank you Salamandra.........I hope so.....let's see what happens tomorrow....Merry Christmas

Finally did US and spoke to ragiologist.......he thinks it's a benign condition... doesn't see anything suspicious...but to put my heart at peace and since shows on the mammo and us........ he wants do do an Ultrasound guided biopsy....tbc...

Hi DJ mammo.....got the latest report......
Finding: Exam demonstrate a 6 x1.7 x 6 cm oval shaped mixed echogenicity solid masslike tissue focus in the 1-2 o'clock left breast 10 to 14 cm from the nipple, corresponds to the patient's palpable mass and the oval- shaped focal asymmetry seen mammographically.Although conceivably an asymmetric island of fibroglandular tissue, hamartoma or benign process such as pseudoangiomatomaous stromal hyperplasia, the patient indicates that the mass first became apparent about 1 year ago....(about not sure) the finding is therefore considered suspicious.... ultrasound guided biopsy is recommended.
Bi-RAD 4 Suspicious abnormality

Well I guess the good news is at that size it should not be very hard to hit. With a good machine and a steady hand 3-4mm nodules can be biopsied under US.
The key to making the dx of hamartoma on mammo is the white line around the mass seen in the image below. It can be very very thin and hard to see. This is referred to as the "breast-within-a-breast" appearance. The tissue inside is essentially normal breast tissue, isolated from the rest of the breast.

I pray that's all it is......I remember you told me he could had been hamartoma..... biopsy is scheduled for the 24th thanks u so much Sr
-
Did a us guided biopsy on the 24 th should had gotten results within 3 days......I still don't have them........this has been a terrible experience......I know results are in the nurse said that the Dr. Has not reviewed it yet......I guess it's not priority.....the radiologist that did biopsy told me that it's a benign condition....maybe she was just been nice cause it was Christmas Eve.
