Swelling above collarbone

has anyone had swelling above their collarbone related to breast cancer? I’ve been called back for a second mammogram and US due to assymetry and of course now that I’m terrified waiting the month and a half for my appointment, I’m thinking every little thing is a big deal. My mom is currently fighting her battle with breast cancer and the longer I wait the more I freak out.

Although it can be an enlarged lymph node related to breast cancer, as a rule by the time it shows up in that location the breast cancer has already declared itself. Also it would have gone to the nodes under your arm first. Keep in mind that although it might be abnormal, it may not be breast related. A mammogram, breast US and an US in the area of the lump near the clavicle should tell the tale.

Thank you so much for your reply! I think I was just overthinking it. The ultrasound resulted in a biopsy recommendation but nodes under the arm looked clear.
