it’s been a hard year and dh has been wonderful, strong, supportive. But sometimes I just wish I knew how much he can’t tell me, whether I’m still attractive, whether I am more than my illness.

If no external signs, most likely your husband doesn't see you as a changed person at all. Most likely, for him you were someone who were sick and now is healthy. Also, attractiveness comes in package, doesn't go away with a pair boobs. If anything, he might have had reservation about the reconstruction process (as it put you through additional challenges), but didn't say anything if he believed it was very important to you.
