Stereotactic Biopsy Yesterday

Like many of you, I am playing the waiting game. I have 6 microcalcifications on my upper left breast, from what I understand they were removed yesterday during my biopsy and I should get the results in a few days. I simply feel numb. While I’m at work, aside from my best friend telling me “I’m not myself”, “well, no of course I’m not”, I’m busy and not thinking about it. This weekend will be the worst and yes, I’ve been googling a lot. I’m trying to stay positive

I had a biopsy yesterday too. So what will we do this weekend? Immerse ourselves into holiday decorating and merriment? Read a steamy romance novel? Bake a boatload of cookies and eat them all while watching Lifetime movies? LOL

The waiting is awful. Last year I had 2 biopsies - one took about a week and the other one took over 2 weeks to get results back. I'm trying to keep that in mind as I approach the weekend but it sure is hard. Sending you comfort and peace from Pennsylvania....

Mine was supposed to be today, but they couldn't find the damned spot! 22 images, 2 hours of boob-in-a-wringer, no joy. Now waiting for a breast surgeon to give an opinion. It only showed up in one image, so there's something there, but frigging what?? If I were a drinking woman, I'd be blotto by now. The bottom of a bottle of wine sounds great. I'm snapping at the kids, crying, totally not myself. I'm so tired of the waiting game. I hope beyond hope that you get good news, this kind of heart-hurt at the holidays is BS.
