It still feels like they are there.

I had my BMX Tuesday, which was skin sparing, followed by TE placement, and I have some patches of numbness, the extent I can't determine with the bandages, but I can tell I still have a lot of sensation and I still feel like I have breasts.

Anyway I just wanted to share for other women because, while I know everyone is different, this was a pleasant surprise. I thought I would come out of it with a completely numb chest and like I was missing something and I really feel more like I had a small reduction than a BMX.

The downside is, expanding is probably not going to be very fun.

I'm the same way (NSPBMX). When I touch them I am surprised how large an area of them still can feel the touch, and I constantly feel sensations going on in there, although I've read people who didn't get to keep nipple still feeling the sensation of nipples, so many some of the sensations are just phantom ones from cut nerves not knowing what to do. One weird thing is I sometimes have a sensation of "humming" (not the noise, but the feeling of deep gentle low level throbbing) in both breasts. At first I thought it might have something to do with the drains working hard, but I've had them out since Wed. and I still sense it. At least, even though touching breasts on top and sides is very sore, as long as I'm not touching them they just feel a little uncomfortable, not as painful as a week ago.

Mine wasn't nipple sparing. But yet today, I am feeling zaps in nipples.

Same here. I just mentioned it to my husband this evening. No nipple sparing, yet that's where my pain was today. I was actually a bit happy because I was warned of breast numbness. But not only do I feel pain zaps, but also the sensation of fingers running across my skin. Gives me hope in terms of future intimacy with my husband.

    Oya80:

If I just touch where the nipple was, I feel nothing, but if I run my hand over the region, I can feel it in the non existent nipple. It's really strange. I actually have more sensation with the bra on because it distributes the pressure and recruits the surrounding nerves.
