ONJ help.. jaw hurting not on the same side as tooth extraction

Hi everyone,

My mom had dental work after being on XGeva for over a year. She developed pain where the tooth was extracted and we saw an oral surgeon who diagnosed her with ONJ. Here's the part that's weird though. Her tooth extraction was on the bottom left but the main pain is coming from the top left jaw. The bottom part where the tooth extraction happened is getting better, as she's doing cleanings and taking antibiotics, but I'm at a loss for understanding why the top jaw is hurting. We'll emphasize this problem more to the oral surgeon next time we see her in a few weeks but does anyone have experiences of jaw pain not coming from the side of tooth extraction?

Does anyone develop ONJ or jaw pain from no dental work?
