Core Needle Biopsy-Terrified!

thank you!

OK all, I am freaking out here. I now have a patch of brownish redness on the same breast, but NOT immediately adjacent to my core biopsy site, which was two weeks ago this past Friday. The patch popped up overnight on Saturday morning. I noticed it in the shower and at that point it seemed more yellowish, but it's since gotten slightly bigger and is reddish. The area surrounding the red patch now also appears to have a yellowish tint. I'm getting really concerned about the possibility of inflammatory breast cancer at this point. At least before I could tell myself that if the surgical excision of the "fibroadenoma" came back positive for cancer, it would likely be in the early stages and very treatable. IBC, on the other hand, is extremely aggressive. Luckily my PCP is seeing me this week. Any thoughts or feedback would be much appreciated, because now I am extremely worried.

Is it possibly just the healing process of the bruising? My breast is still changing colors daily from the surgery 2 weeks ago. And literally every day I wake up it has been different.
I hope it's nothing. Just throwing possible reasons out there.

Just chiming in - after all 3 (or 4, can't remember now) of my ultrasound guided biopsies, I had 2X 4-inch ace bandages, wrapped around me for compression for @ 48 hrs to reduce swelling and bruising. Worked like a charm, post MX and post ALND I had surgical bra I was discharged with, but quickly moved back to the ace bandages. Wore them 24/7 for about a week except when I was cleared to shower. Then switched to the front hook Hanes sports bras like another posted.... I still wear a bra of some sort most nights (but I am able to wear my soft no underwire Warner's ones comfortably now as well as the Hanes front close sports ones). The small round ice packs fit beautiful under or over the bra to help w swelling.
My skin is extra special sensitive, I have had discoloration pop up periodically and changing after all the biopsies and other procedures. Have had a bruise over my port scar since first chemo tx. Weird rashes due to medical tape they use sometimes.
Doesn't hurt to mention ANY of your concerns to your care team. Good luck and I hope for the best for all of you.....
Remember to breathe, the not knowing is always more anxiety ridden than knowing and establishing the plan forward. HeatherJS - I hope you got some answers.
