Xeloda and nosebleeds?

Does anyone get nosebleeds on Xeloda? I've been having some - today's was the worst. What's weird is that they seem to come the day after I finish my weekly dose.

    Hi Laurie,

    This was one of my side effects while I was on Xeloda. I can't recall how common this was, but no one seemed overly concerned. As with many of my side effects, eventually my body figured it out and they became less common.

    Thank you Susan! I posted this yesterday after I had an embarrassing moment yesterday while I was teaching I had a big nose bleed in front of the students, LOL. But I'm feeling OK about it now. I see my Dr. tomorrow and will talk with her about it. <3

    Laurie, lots of side-effects happen on the last day or second to last day. That's the highest level you'll have. i used to get diarrhea the last two days then it went away for three weeks.

    never had bloody nose but that's likely due to the dryness involved. If Susan had them, and you do too, they happen.

    With luck your body will figure it out or maybe you should use a little steam the last few days to keep your nasal passages moist. . .
