Sensation after DIEP

I know I will not have much sensation in the reconstructions but I was wondering if someone could elaborate on this. Will they be completely numb or will I have some sense of touch/pain/hot/cold?

    I have 7 years of firsthand knowledge. Everything was very numb at first, no sensation. Now even after 7 years feeling is still returning. There are definite areas that have come back to life. I can feel temperature differences and feeling where none was before.

    Can you feel your clothing? I am just concerned with accidentally injuring myself due to lack of sensation.

    Yes I believe so, there are a couple totally non feeling spots under my armpit too. So far I haven't hurt myself shaving. But those spots are still coming back strange deep itchy feeling.
