Terrified

I had my mammogram screening on the 29th which showed scattered glandular tissue, birads1. My new surgical oncologist (that I haven’t seen yet, had a mammography consult. She said this is protocol for outside images. The consult Radiologist states asymmetry middle depth, additional views, spot compression and ultrasound. I am so terrified. I see the new surgical oncologist tomorrow. I do have dense breast.

Has anyone experience two different readings?

I wish I could help you out but I'm not familiar with your mammogram results. I saw that you posted a while ago and since nobody has yet come on to answer, I decided just to post a reply and say hang in there. I know - we all know - how terrifying this all is, especially the waiting. I am sure there are sisters out there who will post answers to you, so just give it a bit of time. One thing we do have in common is that I too had dense breasts. And unfortunately, my daughters do as well. But then, I think just about everyone I know has dense girls!!

Hang in there. It's going to be okay. Keep posting.

Hey there. I know it is very common to need additional views when you get a mammogram in a new health system or from a different imaging company. Hang in there....the waiting is sometimes the hardest part!
