One year post mastectomy

One year ago today I had a double mastectomy for IDC on my right breast. Was stage one so no chemo or radiation. I had immediate reconstruction but a few weeks later had to have the right implant removed due to an infection. Waited 8 months and tried again with an expander. Two months later had to have the implant removed due to an infection called atypical non tuberculous microorganism. Hospitalized for a week and on antibiotics for a month. Now for the past two weeks on the right side by my scar which has taken forever to heal, a red small area has appeared. No pain but I’m concerned and am waiting for an appt with my oncologist. Has anyone else had this happen to them. I fear recurrenceeven though all my score results post mastectomy we’re good

Glad you are getting it checked. Hoping they fit you in soon. Maybe they can do a punch biopsy. Keep us posted
