Uterine fibroid?

I know I'm being crazy-- but just in case. Anyone hear about a suspected uterine fibroid end up being a metastasis?

Apparently, I had a spot on my pelvis in my original ct scan in February after dx and it is still here without a change in size after chemo, etc 10 months later. It hasn't shown up in pet scans and bone scan. They are calling it a uterine fibroid, but my oncologist is calling for an mri anyways.

I have had occasional tenderness in my left pelvic side and the nurse said it is on the left side. I never noticed it until chemo.

I was hoping for an all clear today-- not more tests.

I had 3 polyps that they thought might be cancer but were b-9.

Wallycat- thank goodness! I hope I don’t get into the suspected cancer game with these.

It sounds like the oncologist is using an abundance of caution, which while scary, will is most likelihood lead to benign findings. Hopefully they can deal with the fibroid to decrease you pain. Keep us posted.

Thank you KBee- I'm starting to relax a little. Alarm bells just keep ringing. I suppose I'm still raw around the edges.
