I did find a post with this topic, but it has not been updated recently. I have been reading a lot and trying to understand everything - there is so much to understand. Meeting with my doctor tomorrow. He called last night after my CT and bone scans yesterday to tell me he is going to start me on medication first. I did have something light up on the CT scan, but he said it was a "bone island" and he was not concerned about it. I have two masses on the left (one positive and one negative) and at least one lymph node positive. Thank you for any advice and for all the hopeful responses I have been reading. I am very thankful for my age and my children that are grown. My mother died of colon cancer at age 54 and I have now lived longer than she did, but I would not like to give up just yet.

I met with my doctor today. He did another punch biopsy, just because my breast was red was the reason I went to him to begin with, to check again for inflammatory breast cancer. I will see an oncologist in about a week and have a port placed. My surgeon would like me to start on Perjeta every 2 weeks for 3 months. He said it gives an 80% chance of eliminating the cancer.

You pretty much have my stats including age at diagnosis. I just had my checkup with my MO and so far so good. You're in a tough stage where you may ne thinking the worst. I know I did. It's a longer process when you're her+ but it eventually passes.

I also share your diagnosis only mine was de novo metastatic. Had Taxol and am now on herceptin and perjeta indefinitely. 51 when diagnosed, now 52 and no evidence of active disease with normal bloods and tumour markers

Very happy to see your scan results are good and may they stay that way forever 🙂
