Dear survivors,

I am not sure if anyone has faced my particular dilemma, but here goes.

I am a software professional, and as part of my job, i am required to take up assignments in foreign countries. I have a new assignment coming up in Canada, the start of which coincides with the end of my treatments (lumpectomy, chemo and radiation). My treatments will be hopefully over by mid-Dec, and the assignment may begin by mid of Jan (or may be even later).

1. Do you think that one month would be enough to recover from radiation effects. I am currently on chemo (AC and Paclitaxel) which has not tired me down completely. I am still able to work full time, but from home. However i am not sure if radiation has any side effects (and my doctor assures me there are none), but if it does, do you think 1 month of recovery would help me to travel?

2. To travel to Canada has been a great dream for me, but all the more so after my diagnosis. I believe that in countries like Canada, there is more openness to a holistic approach of healing cancer. I would like to pursue some alternative approaches like naturopathy, etc to generally enhance the quality of my life - a more balanced approach to diet, emotional healing and so on. I believe that my cancer has been a message of love and not one of death. It was a message asking me to love and heal myself completely, and i would love to pursue it in a greater detail. But in my country, it is hard to find such alternative courses and everyone is fixed on the conventional, allopathic routes. Would any of you know about such holistic healing centres that can help me when i travel to Canada (Quebec, specifically)?

I know that it's too much to ask for, but please help me out if you can.

Thanks and much love to all of you.
