I just would like to know how much longer hot flashes are going to last. I haven’t had a period since April, which was 6 months ago when I started chemo and have been having hot flashes since then. I’m also now on tamoxifen. I hate to complain about them but I’m getting really annoyed by them and sometimes feel like the world is caving in on me bc I get so hot, like I’m going to have a minor panic attack. Also, sometimes I have SO many! Like they won’t stop coming, over and over. What is up with that?

I’m 37. Does anyone have experience of the hot flashes lessening at some point? When

I’m mean, it’s not like I’m “going through” menopause. It’s paused. I’m done. It’s over. Ovaries are fried. It’s never coming back. Shouldn’t the hot flashes now stop?

I had hot flashes and other menopausal symptoms I thought would be permanent. A few months after completing treatment my period came back and the hot flashes dissipated. Sorry you are going through this. They really suck especially when you just want to sleep and get woken up, sweating, then get cold...grr frustrating. Ice packs were my go to during a hot flash. I literally kept one under pillow so I could turn it over and hopefully still use the ice pack and cool side of the pillow.Hope this helps
