MRI results, more lumps?

I have a confirmed tumor in my left breast, IDC, inner upper quadrant. I have dense tissue so the surgeon wanted an MRI to see everything before surgery. And get an idea of size, about 2cm. The MRI also showed a questionable lump in the outer upper quadrant, and two similar lumps in the same spot in the other breast.

Now I have to do another ultra sound and more biopsies depending on what the radiologist thinks. Could likely be benign as I already have another fibroadenoma on the left breast next to the cancer.

I'm just so frustrated!!! I am just so sick of waiting on this stuff and want the cancerous tumor out ASAP. But it's quite worrisome to think I could have cancer in both, in which case double mastectomy would probably be the route I go. Also, shouldn't they biopsy all the lumps no matter what? They had trouble even identifying the cancer spot via ultra sound until pathology Ugh. Thoughts?

Hi Dovely, Im so sorry to hear about that. Boy! that I know is frustrating for sure. The waiting can be so stressful. But, just relax, and, wait to see what the Doctor says. Well, you already know you have a Cancer in your left, so, that is a definite Left Mastectomy. That's what I had. You will be ok waiting a little longer until you have the US to see what you should do. A Biopsy on all the Lumps, I guess depends on your US results. Dovely, A lot of women with IDC in just one Breast, especially, if they have a family history of BC, choose to have a Double Mastectomy anyway, just to make sure it is gone. You be fine and get your rest for now. Things will come about quickly for you. Were all here for you. Blessings!
