Any way I can see results before appointment?

Ontario person here. I keep reading how in the States women are finding their results through some kind of “portal”. I’m not sure if it’s associated with a specific hospital or what. I know in Ontario we can see blood work results, but is there anyway that we can see pathology results in a timely manner My first wait from first screening, to diagnostic mammogram & ultrasound to biopsy to final first inconclusive results took from July 16 to August 30. Since then I’ve had a second biopsy and hopefully get my final results of what this stupid lump is October 17. It has been killing me with this wait.

The portal you are hearing about is one of various online systems that some health care providers in the U.S. might use to communicate with patients, share results, and manage appointments and refills. My provider uses a proprietary portal. For me to see results, my doctor has to clear them to be released to me after review or can set them to be automatically released.

Thank you for that clarification WC3. I still wonder if that’s available to Ontarians here. I know I would have loved to read the word b9 in my report earlier than waiting for what seems forever.
