I am confused about tests .

I got a monogram , showed a small spot. I was told they need to do another monogram that has better images and an ultra sound. The confusing part is why another monogram when doctor told me a mammogram can distort the edges of a mass due to smashing of the breast and make them ruff looking like something they may not be. Am I missing something?

Breast spots and lumps can be signs of benign conditions, such as cysts, fibroadenomas, infections...
