Phlebitis from Taxotere

I had my first chemo treatment 10 days ago. Suffering from phebitis in the vein there Taxotere went into. Skin blistery, itchy and painful.

I'm taking 600mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours. Icing 20 minutes every 2 hours.

What can I do for the skin to alleviate the itchy and blisters?

karen i wish i had a better answer but i developed phlebitis from taxotere in june of this year..about 3" of the vein is still hard as a rock..heat helped me though as it dilates the vein and increase blood flow to the area
