The radiation to my breast discolored certain areas in my face

Options

After my lumpectomy on my right breast , I had 12 radiation treatments ,i was told  that the radiation would only target my right breast, but I noticed  the tip of my nose, chin and my neck had gotten much darker from the rest of my skin, this happened at the very end of the treatments, I complained to the doctors and they reassured me it was only to my right breast. I cannot even cover it up with makeup. I don't believe them because I know my body.  My breast and under my arm  got very dark but the color is coming back and that was expected. Will my color on my face ever turn back to its original color. I am very depressed! Have anyone else experience anything similar?

You might want to see if you can get in with a dermatologist. I've not found radiation oncologists to be very helpful with skin issues. Maybe a dermatologist can help you figure out how to fix it, or at least cover it.
