Elevated ALT/AST and CA125? Trying not to freak out...

Options

Ended up in the ER last week with severe lower abdominal pain. Did an Abdominal and TV ultrasound which showed a small <2cm hemorrhagic cyst. I am on tamoxifen (on hold till we figure things out). My ALT/AST in the ER were slightly elevated 66/42 but had increased to 94/66 just 4 days later?!! Gyn ordered a CA125 just in case and it comes back elevated at 74. I am still having “period-like” cramps but the acute pain has subsided. Of course I am freaking out... worried about liver mets or even worse ovarian cancer. Can’t understand why then LFTs would increase so rapidly. Interesting enough my Total BIli was also elevated at but it that has come back down to normal. Anyone with similar experience

If you were put on pain meds, some can increase the LFT numbers.

Also, any pelvic inflammation/growths can elevate ca-125. My twin had a high ca-125 reading and they found a 7cm pelvic mass...practically took up her whole pelvic cavity. They were convinced it was going to be cancer. Nope...a b-9 tumor. The body can grow and do strange things. Keep us posted on how you're doing and best to you.

thank you for responses all. I had an abdominal/pelvic CT which showed no acute findings. They did see 2 spots on my liver, both less than 1.5cm and the smallest 4mm was low attenuation which the radiologist thought was a cyst as well but considering the elevated liver tests can’t be sure. Sooo, primary care wants to do an ultrasound. I’d like to have repeat labs as well to see if enzymes went down. I did have a nice get away to NY this weekend for my 40th that got my mind off things. But now I feel very twinge/pain that I’ve been feeling/felt are the signs of Mets 🙄😩 Claiming continued clear and clean tests and scans
