Recurrent Cording - What gives?

I had bmx in May and had fairly significant cording on SNB side afterward (lots of cording in armpit and some cording past my elbow). Went to a PT, got lots of deep tissue massage and did lots of stretching, yadda yadda, it went away and then returned in July. Got more massage, it went away. And now... it's baaaaack.... What the what?! Can anyone explain what brings the cording back? It's like a moth to a flame. I had cellulitis on that side twice and am currently flat on same side as I await a new TE. I just resumed lifting weights last week, but am taking it very easy. Would lifting weights contribute to its recurrence? I have been pretty good about wearing a lymphedema sleeve while lifting since I don't feel super optimistic about dodging LE.

My understanding is that we don't know why it sometimes recurs. I see no rhyme or reason to my own cording episodes.

ReadyAbout I read your post with interest as I have cording issues on my SNB side (I had a BMx with immediate reconstruction) and finally got some PT to help reduce the issue. I begin massage therapy this week. I didn't realize this stuff could come back. Of course I guess that cannot be predicted because they truly don't know why it happens in the first place. My PT said that she only sees this type of scar tissue in her breast cancer patients.
