Good Morning!

Finally heard from the dr's office. The receptionist couldn't tell me anything but that I needed a follow up in 6 months. Not sure what this would mean, but for now everything is good, I have an appt with my Dr in 2 weeks. If anyone could help me understand what the purpose is a 6 month follow up is. Also, my lymph nodes were swollen, she mentioned this during the ultrasound, is this the possible reason? Just need a little reassurance.

I also have a question regarding breast implants. I have had mine for approximately 18 years. Could something show up on the ultrasound that would cause concern? I have experienced swelling, painful lymph nodes, and small bruising that shows up on my breasts for no reason. No one seems too concerned, but I'm thinking it's time to have them removed. Can implants mask cancer symptoms or can they produce cancer like symptoms.? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks so much I advance

I also wanted to share some important info on breast cancer care in our city. Apparently, the big wigs at our Hospital feel that saving $270,000 is much more important than saving the lives of cancer patients. I’m appalled. Cancer affects us all. It has no boundaries. It doesn’t care where you came from, what you do or who you are. We need to have a voice for our loved ones.

The hospital in our city is looking to close, or as they say "restructure " our Sudbury Breast Screening Assessment Service. The clinic provides quick access to treatments, surgeons and other services. Due to less wait times, treatments can be started much earlier for better prognosis. Without this clinic, wait times will once again take months, and would delay treatments . I'm deeply afraid for the people in our beautiful city. Hopefully, something can be done.

Sorry for the long post. Thanks everyone for reading.
