hello, I'm Vicki and fairly new here. March 2018 I had my mammogram which showed the huge lump ive felt/seen for the past year. since then ive had 3 biopsys wire placement.Pathology told me it was negative so my doc removed it then biopsy showed its actually triple negative breast cancer stage 3 ,BIG SHOCKER right. wasn't aware pathology made mistakes like that. anyhow since then ive had both breasts removed and my margins are negative for TNBC so I think the bc is gone. Now Monday I get my port placed on my left chest, because my right breast had cancer I guess they have to use my left side.Im absolutely terrified right now, OF CHEMO, I get treatment called AC, has anyone else here heard or had this? DOXORUBICIN CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE  AND TAXOL.. ANY ADVISE WOULD BE AWESOME.. JUST WHAT I CAN EXPECT. does the initial push of red devil hurt you> they wouldn't tell me any of that. does the port procedure hurt?  I'm as strong as they come but since cancer took a bite of me I'm the biggest pussy on earth all the sudden I hate it. I'm so afraid to go to chem o Tuesday that I actually thought about just not going.my grandma shot herself in the neck to kill herself at age 57 because of cancer chemo pain, my mom (tears) I found dead in her bed 2 weeks after her 1st and only shot of chemo.stage 4 ovarian. so I'm terrified.

I'm sorry you have been diagnosed with cancer. It is a shock for sure. I am also sorry to hear about your mother and grandmother.

Are you BRCA 1 positive? I wondered since your topic head mentioned it.

I would worry about a team who "wouldn't tell me any of that". That seems odd. Most doctors try to be helpful and want their patients to understand what is going on. You are required to understand before signing consent forms in most places. I would ask for clarification.

If you do a search for the names of the chemo there are many here who have done the same protocol and will help you with that. It is a great forum for information and for support. It might be a good idea to talk to your providers about the suicides so they can provide support on that front.

I hope things go smoothly for you. It does get easier. Take care.

You could try the calling all TN's page. Most of the women there had AC-T. You will probably get answers to your questions there.

I am not of much use because my oncologist gave me 6 rounds of TC.
