i was diagnosed with IDC in June. Shortly after i found out i was brca2+ and instead of a lumpectomy and radiation, i now needed a double mastectomy. Well today i met with my oncologist. Final pathology report shows stage 1. Grade 1. Highly estrogen driven. Oncotype 15. My age is 43. NO CHEMO. Finally a plus in this whirlwind!!
