Nerve pain after axillary lymph node dissection

Had this done on Tues, am having shooting burning pain down the back of my arm to my elbow seems to happen if I reach a little too far or in certain positions any one else have this?

    Yes, angry nerves are common. After a few weeks, it calmed down for me but even more than a year later I noticed some nerve pain in areas where the feeling is returning. It seems to be temporary though.

    debsmisto - I kept my arm very quiet for a couple of weeks, and avoided skin to skin contact by wearing something with a sleeve. I experienced pins and needles and some numbness in the axilla, the inner bicep, and arm from shoulder to elbow - this gradually dissipated, but it did so pretty slowly. I have totally normal sensation on the whole arm, but it took about the full year afterward.
