I completed bilateral breast radiation in September 2012 and have had annual MRIs in addition to mammograms that have never shown anything. Yesterday the MRI showed a nodule if some sort on my lung and I’m being sent for a lung CT on Monday. I read an earlier discussion similar to this in which the abnormality was just a false report. The journal articles I’ve found state that the presumption is that these are Mets but they can be primary lung cancers. Is there any correlation between breast radiation and subsequent lung issues? Has anyone else faced this? I’m scared.
