Psychocyn,
Everyone is different, but I found Taxol to be easier. For me, it was nice not to be nauseous, and I only lost my taste for a few days each cycle. It did, however, make me very tired. I had mild body aches and very slight neuropathy as time went on. Most symptoms were abated by my MO with meds. Light exercise helps (walking, yoga etc..). When I was tired, I let my body rest.
Hope this helps!

Sorry, I meant to add that I was only down a few days after each cycle. I was pretty active after that til the next cycle.

Hi, I had dose dense AC chemo and had my firsz Taxol yesterday. I wonder what SEs will surface.... but I am eating normally and have 0 nausea. And overall I feel ptetty normal. Had a walk and covered 10km. It's only the first dose, but I am hopefull now that it will indeed be easier

Glad you are doing well. You may have some achiness tomorrow or Friday, but the Claritin seems to help. I'm sure you already know to drink lots of water, and Powerade/Gatorade work well too. I got to where I couldn't tolerate water, so used those instead. Your taste may get kind of wonky by sometime Friday. Mine would start Friday evening (chemo on Wed), but would resolve sometime on Sunday. Hang in there. This sucks, but sounds like you're gonna be able to tolerate it. Post here or PM me if I can help.

Hi JaBoo,
Just checking in to see how you're doing. Hopefully you aren't experiencing too many SE's. Big hugs

I found taxol to be a lot easier. I was able to work while getting those treatments and I didn't feel as sluggish. I am 8 weeks post chemo today and I can promise you that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I didn't see if for awhile, but it gets better. Hang in there!

Hi JaBoo:
I hope you're doing ok today.
For me Taxol #3 & #4 were very exhausting. I was doing dose density. I think it had an a cumulative effect. I took a 3-4 week break before the radiation started.
Take a little walk if you can. Maybe a Power Nap.

I was not as exhausted on taxol but for 3-4 days I was pretty achy
