Drains after exchange

I had a tissue expander placed a week ago due to an area of skin necrosis after direct to implant bilateral mastectomy on 6/7/18

I had the left implant removed on 7/27/18 and my expander placed on 9/10/18

All three surgeries required a drain! Ugh

Iam wondering if it's the norm to have a drain at expander to implant exchange. Iam getting to be a pro with having a drain but they really are the worst part of everything and I do not want another one after my final surgery

I did not have drains at expander to implant surgery.

I had drains every darn time!  Ugh!  I hated them...but I suspect I would have hated a seroma more!

I had a drain after my exchange....for a month!!

I had a drain after my exchange surgery. One side was out after about a week . The other for 6 weeks.

My exchange surgery is coming up at the end of this month. I’m told NO drains will be needed.

I had drains with my orginal BMX and flap sugery in April.

I hear you, NO DRAINS please.
