What is the difference between the traditional radiation sessions vs. the IORT the one that done during lumpectomy

Danaqtr, IORT is a single dose of radiation to the area while the patient is still sedated and the breast hasn't been closed up yet. So it's more efficient than getting 20-30 doses externally starting a month after surgery. Both Georgetown University and the University of Virginia offer it so you might look at their websites. It's a good choice.
