I have annual testing coming up and am having a hard time managing. Suggestions for logical thinking or other ways of coping much appreciated.

I am 10 years out and have not ecea been able to manage it well.

I am usually on Xanax a few days prior.

I think a lot of us suffer from PTSD after... I know I do.

It helps to talk and reach out. I usually call another cancer survivor when I’m in the waiting room.

I wish I could I help you more.

Have someone drive you. Before my last annual check, I hit a car in the parking lot! (Hmmm. "Why is your blood pressure so high?". It's funny now, but...

Thanks both. It all went fine. I did have a scare and a biopsy but it all worked out in the end. It helps to know others feel the same way. That I’m not the only one. xxo

NoWhyTolt - so glad everything was okay - and oh darn about scare and biopsy, but glad i worked out in the end!

My sister is 3 years out from Stage 3C diagnosis. I am just shy of 7 years out from Stage 3A diagnosis. We both

had things going on at the cancer center on the same day - she had her checkup, and later I had a breast MRI before

surgery for a prophylactic MX in about a month.

WE WERE A MESS. And we are even a greater mess for 3 days after the appointments. I am always traumatized, but

mine got better quicker than hers did.

I wish I had some good answer for this. I just always envision before going that it is over and I'm back in my bed.

That is the only thing that seems to comfort me!
