Preventing Lung scarring from Radiation

Hello,

I am 11 treatments into a 20 treatment plan of accelerated radiation therapy, which includes 5 booster treatments. Today my radiologist showed me the computerized images of the radiation treatment and there was clearly part of my right lung in the radaiated area even though I am in the prone position (my lymph nodes are not being radiated). She insisted that it is clinically insignificant, but also stated she couldn’t help the lung exposure in order to get the full breast. I am a little shaken up by this because I thought the prone position would prevent exposure of lungs. I am wondering if anyone has used any complementary treatments to prevent damage to the lungs.
