MD couldn’t do US biopsy so now MRI biopsy

Is this more painful?

    Hi Kiki. I've had both kinds and didn't find the MRI-guided core needle biopsy any more painful than the ultrasound-guided one. It does take longer tho: you'll get a blood test, then go into the MRI machine for imaging, then come out of the MRI machine for compression, an injection to numb your breast, and the biopsy itself. I was able to drive myself home, then needed ice and Tylenol for 24 hours as I recall.

    Kikibird pray you get excellent results. I'm going for needle core MRI too. Scared. Hated breast MRI, had to do that twice because I didn't make it through first one without moving.

    got mine done today . Was bad but not intolerable . Now the waiting
