Hello everyone. I’m already in a few support groups, but I figured I’d come here as well. I’m 31 years old andwas diagnosed with IDC grade 3 triple negative last month. I’m trying to stay positive and not freak out. Right now I’m waiting on my CT and bone scan results. I find those out tomorrow, along with an echocardiogram and port placement. My mom was positive for one of the genetic mutations, I can’t remember which. She had breast cancer twice and sadly passed from ovarian cancer 10 years ago. I am waiting on my genetic testing results as well. I have three little boys and have been married for 13 years. I’ll start chemo as soon as the testing is done, and have opted for a double mastectomy come surgery time. Most likely looking at radiation as well. It’s not my time yet and I am ready to kick cancers ass!

My heart goes to you. Somehow you will find the strength to go through all the treatment, while rearing the three little boys. Before you'll know it, everything will be back to normal. Hard to believe this now, but it will happen.

Hi! It sounds like you are in the right frame of mind to handle everything as it comes up. I am 2months out from the diagnosis. I am sorry about your mom. I was concerned about genetic mutations as my dad, paternal grandfather and grandmother had cancers associated with mutation. I did not have it. I hope you find a lot of support here and on your other sites.

Thank you. My husband tells me it’s just a chapter in our story that we have to get through. I try to focus on that ❤️

I feel like that too. 💙. I got through it before (bone cancer as a teen).

Wow.. I am also 31 with 3 boys! I was diagnosed in June. I have surgery this Thursday and based upon the results from that, I'll either have radiation or chemo or both. They just aren't sure with the lymph nodes yet. How old are your boys? Mine are 4, 7, and 8...the two older ones just started back to school and are loving it. I hope everything goes well with your treatment!

Hi. I am so sorry. I was diagnosed in January at 31. I have been through surgery, chemo, and now on radiation. Please feel free to reach out if you need anything. Keep that positive attitude! You can get through this and it gets easier.

I have been dx with stage ll IDC. My tests showed HR -. ER - and her2 +.

I have had the port placement last week. Since the weekend I have been having breast pain. Friends who have had BC, said they never had pain. Now yesterday I have nipple pain with discharge. Has anyone experienced this pain? I start chemo tomorrow, for 6 months.

I’m so sorry to hear. I’m 28 and was diagnosed June 3rs with triple negative just 5 weeks after delivering my first baby. I had a bilateral mastectomy and now going through chemo. I’m here for you!

Before I had surgery I had lots of breast pain. I was diagnosed with IDC in July. I felt almost like little bee stings before diagnosis. Sometimes it would be a shooting pain that would come and go. It hurt to lie on that side and it hurt to run or jump. I also had nipple inversion but no discharge. My tumour was very close to my nipple. I opted to have a Mastectomy because they wouldn't be able to save the nipple in either surgery. I had surgery on Sept. 11.
