Puckering 2 years after lumpectomy?

Options

Hello

I'm almost 2 years out from lumpectomy surgery, and over the last couple of weeks when I raise my arm, there is a pull or puckering on the skin, in a different spot to the original lump, but it may be stretching down from where the scar is . Just wondering if anyone had any experience with anything similar?

Just had a mammogram also and am waiting for results, but its in the back of my mind it may be something and might not show up on mammo?

Thanks

If you're having a new change, be sure to let BS know. Instead of a standard mammogram, they may do a diagnostic one, and also an ultrasound and/or an MRI. Hoping it is benign. Let us know what you find out.

HI, I stumbled upon your post after searching for someone else that had puckering. That is how I found the original cancer. I am now eleven months post lumpectomy and started puckering near the same site. I had a mammo only two months ago and it was clear. I'm on hormone treatment and rib. I noticed we were both IIb and had similar stats. Whatever became of your concern? I go next week for an ultrasound for them to check it out, so I'm trying not to worry but looking for others with a similar experience and good outcome!

jhandwork, welcome to Breastcancer.org! We hope you find the support and advice you're looking for.

As this is a bit old thread, it's unlikely you'll receive a response from any of the original participating members. Our suggestions are to start your own new topic and open a new discussion to others, or send the member you'd like to hear from a Private Message, so they can directly answer you. jhandwork, hoping your ultrasound gives answers and that all is benign. Glad you are on top of it and getting it checked.
