New "Mole " on side of foob
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my post /question - appreciate it as I have been getting myself worked up over what might be nothing.
I had my bilateral mastectomy in 2013, with reconstruction ( silicone) and I've pretty much accepted the uncomfortable/sometimes painfull stuff that come with having foobs.
But recently, maybe 3 - 4 months ago, I noticed a new mole on the side of my implant - it is rough, occasionally irritating ( like when I'm in the shower or changing my bra ) & rarely itchy. When I was at my last Drs. appintment I told the NP and she looked at it, then got my Dr. to have her look / check it out. I barely got my shirt & bra pulled out of the way when she briefly glanced at it and remarked to the NP
" Oh, that's not even ( a ) ______" { I didn't catch the last word she said } and breezed right back out of the examination room.
I was shocked, she is usually very attentive and listens to my concerns/ questions. I am not even sure if the NP asked me how I knew it was a new mole. Unfortunately, I was stunned into silence & didn't press the issue.
This was a couple of months ago, but I can't stop worrying if I should have said more, or asked questions or something.
If I had health insurance I would contact the office now to see if I should be getting this looked at. I was thinking of asking a family member to take a picture of it ( with me shielding my nipple, so I could perhaps send it to the Dr? ) or look,at trusted ( hospital ) websites to get a better idea if I need to investigate further - I can't really get a good look at it, due to where it is located.
The main reason I am worried is that I know it wasn't there before my surgery, I had trouble with my nipples healing, the PS made comments about my thin stature & lack of body fat ( and not much breast tissue / skin to work with ) prior to my BMX and also the PS 's nurse had to pull out the plastic threads after my exchange & the one on the right side was stuck and the area was quite sore after. They all looked closely at the same place the mole is now. When I first felt the mole on the shower, I thought it was scar tissue from the surgery.
Do you all think I am getting worried for nothing?
Has anyone else experienced this?
Any advise and / or comments would be helpful!
Thank you,

You could have PS looks knand see if it appears to be a stitch surfacing, or go to a dermatologist and ask for a biopsy. It is likely benign, but never ignore changes. Do not let docs blow you off. They were 98% sure my lump was benign when I had my recurrence... they were wrong

Have it checked out, but, remember before we were diagnosed with cancer? We had "moles," aches and pains, etc. and thought nothing more than meh about them. Just saying.
