Hi everyone

I've read few times on here that taxol helps ensure that bc doesn't come back? Is that part of it? Also does the pain subside as move along w treatments or get worse

Taxol is one of several chemo drugs that are used to treat breast cancer. I'm not sure what pain you're referring to. Different women get different side effects from various treatments. I never had any pain from Taxol.

I am on week 10 of Taxol and am just starting to have a tiny bit of pain in my thumbs related to neuropathy ... and although I did have some digestive pain, Bio-K fixed it. Any chance they also giving you Neulasta? That, I hear, can cause a lot of bone pain.

Oh, and editing to add: I'm under the impression that the Taxol slows growth and spread -- so for instance, they will use it first in aggressive cancers to stop them from spreading. Though that's coming from a new cancer patient, so take it with a grain of salt!
