Insist on further testing?

Hello,

I am hoping I can get advice. I am almost 30 years old, currently nursing an infant. About 2 1/2 weeks ago I noticed a spot on my left breast that resembled mosquito bite— and itched just like one. I ignored it assuming that’s exactly what it was until the next day when I got out of the shower and realized it was still there, looking exactly the same, still itchy. I panicked after googling (I know, I know) and called the Breast Clinic in the area. They got me in the next day to take a look and the specialist was not concerned, truly believed it was some sort of bite, but to put my mind at ease she sent me for an ultrasound. All clear. No thickening, no lumps, nothing. The raised pale-colored lump went away, but did leave a small red area so I insisted on a punch biopsy. Results came back with perivascular inflammation, eosinophils.. ?? Pathologist agreed, bug bite. A couple days after the biopsy I ended up with what seemed just like Mastitis (I’ve had it in the past). A good sized lump, wedge shaped redness, pain, headache, flu-like symptoms, so I was started on antibiotics. A few days into antibiotics I noticed what I can only assume, are lymph nodes on the side of my breast near my arm pit and while the painful Mastitis like lump is gone as well as all of those symptoms, the swollen lymph nodes are still there and today was my last day of antibiotics. I also notice what appears to look like another “bite” next to where the original spot was. Tomorrow is my follow up and I would appreciate hearing what you think I should ask for. Do I push for further testing? Is it normal my lymph nodes are still swollen? Could those spots truly be bug bites? Wouldn’t that be a coincidence to have another in nearly the same spot?

I should note, I do have extremely dense breasts.

Thank you for any thoughts or advice you may have, I do appreciate it.
