Freaking out!

Three years ago I was diagnosed with ILC in my right breast. I had a lumpectomy and it turned out to be stage three and had spread to the lymph nodes. I had 33 rad treatments and no chemo. I've had two clear mammograms since then. Last week I went in for my annual 3D mammogram and yesterday they called me saying they had found something in my left breast. I'm going in for a follow up on Tuesday. @&$!. I'm so freaking scared! When they called the person told me to go to a specific radiology clinic because there is a radiologist on staff and he/she could order an US and tell me that day if there was anything suspicious. Bloody hell! Somebody PLEASE talk me off the ledge

I can't imagine how scared you are, but one thing that has been repeated over and over here and I try to stick to is "Don't worry until you have to." When the worry starts to creep in, go do something different than what you are doing, pray, watch some comedy...

RFTexas, thinking good thoughts for you! One possibility is that they are just being super-duper careful given your previous diagnosis. Hang in there, get a copy of your report, and let us know how we can help.

RFTexas sending you good thoughts and big hugs! It could just be a cyst or fibroid, or heck maybe the 3D machine was just dirty.
