Male Complicated Cyst

Male with a lump just below, but off center from the nipple for 2 months.. I think that this meets the definition for a subareloar eccentric which is where MBC is often seen. The lump is not painful and has been slowly growingSlight redness/thickening. No issues with nipples, skin (except the redness), etc.... Had an ultrasound and was told that it was an intradermal complicated cyst with a sinus tract that made it compatible with a inclusion cyst. Size is 1.3 cm by 8 mm and 4 mm (is that small or large?) There was a slight increase in vascularity that they thought was due to possible inflammation. Told him to just use warm compresses and follow with his clinic. We know that an inclusional cyst can be a benign lump for a male, given that it is complex in nature and there is increased vascularity, and the issues with accurately diagnosis men, we made an appointment with the breast surgeon for a second opinion of sorts and really would like for them to biopsy it. Given that he is a male and all of the issues related to accurately diagnosing men, we are concerned that assumptions being made, etc....Yes, I know the chances are slim; however, we had a family friend that had MBC and passed so we are trying to aggressively address this. Anyone with anything similar or general thoughts?

I'd suggest watchful waiting is the way to go. A biopsy is a major undertaking which doctors are loathe to recommend unless the chances of bc are high. This said, it sounds like you are on the case.

I was diagnosed late due to my GP not moving to the ultrasound phase in a timely fashion. When I finally got one, the US technician's eyes popped out of her head looking at the screen. Keep the forum posted.
