Blisters from Prevena Therapy Machine

Had lumpectomy L and bilateral breast reduction on Friday morning, had minimal pain and was off the hydrocodone by Monday. Recheck w plastic surgeon today and got my bandages off - yay - but the Prevena machine’s “negative pressure” (that is supposed to promote good circulation near the incisions) left one enormous blister between my breasts and several along the lower incision lines and near the lumpectomy site. PS said he’s seen this with several other patients and was going to discuss with manufacturer. I did however win the prize for biggest blister, damn my delicate skin! The burning and stinging of healing blisters is the most discomfort I’ve had during this whole experience. Can’t even stand to wear the soft Croobie bra because I can’t bear any pressure near the blisters. Constructing pillow fort in recliner tonight so that no raw skin accidentally touches anything.
